Conversion to Plug-in Hybrid - for Toyota Prius
Imagine driving your Prius, getting twice the mile per gallon, emitting half the CO2, driving short trips on the electric motor alone, and the substitute fuel costs just 1/3 the price of gas/diesel. If this gets your interest, we should talk!
By adding more battery and a charger to your Prius, it is converted into a Plug-in Hybrid! The Prius still operates like it did before, but the extra battery means the electric motor can do more work and offset that much more fuel. A driver's switch allows two new driving modes:
Just plug your Prius in to any standard wall plug in your garage to refill the battery for another day of greatly reduced [or eliminated!] fuel consumption. The results are magical!
If you drive less than 20 miles per day, you can do so in EV and never use fuel. Or, if you drive less than 20 miles to work and plug in there, you can drive home, too, without fuel! If you drive 40 miles/day or so, you can drive in EH mode and maybe double you mileage [100mpg!]. Or just drive anywhere and get a boost in your mileage.
Remember, every mile you use electric power is money and fuel saved.
ConVerdant will add a spring-loaded battery box to the trunk area on top of the spare tire. No space is lost. We offer lead and lithium battery versions. The battery is nicely dovetailed into the Prius battery system using technology developed in California by CalCars.org who worked with California Edison, the Southern California Air Resource Board, and a host of developers to perfect this battery addition. By happenstance, we are able to offer you plug-in conversions years ahead of Toyota!
Warranty: ConVerdant offers a limited warranty on the installed conversion. And, the same ConVerdant Authorized Service shop that installed the conversion will also provide any needed service. The original hybrid drive and battery are unmodified for clean manufacturer warranty service. The Prius is a very reliable car. And the electric motor is the most durable part of it. However, Toyota may disavow their Warranty once the conversion is installed. The law says they can only do so when they can reasonably show that any particular problem is caused by this conversion? We have their tech bulletins to check this. But, you should probably expect to lose their warranty. Fortunately, the Prius is not prone to needing much warranty work.
Feel the joy of using ever less fuel, and cruising silently down the street. It is quite novel and pleasing. In a world now filled with ordinary Prius', if you want to be greener still, contact us.
Prices start at $6,500 for the lead battery version, or about $11,500 for the lithium version. Order now, as the first 20 customers get a $500 discount!
We install the systems right here in NH. Installation takes about a day, with a reservation.
