Conversion to Plug-in Hybrid - Trucks-Vans-SUVs
Imagine driving your truck, getting much better mile per gallon, and the substitute fuel costs just 1/3 to price of gas/diesel! We call these vehicles "Vehicles with Green", or ConVerdant vehicles.
ConVerdant Vehicles will convert a growing variety of vehicles in to Plug-in Hybrids, starting with light duty trucks; such as SUVs, Pickups, Vans, Buses and Customs. We install a motor, batteries, controller and a charger. The original engine and components are unmodified for clean manufacturer warranty service. We simply add electric drive and "fool" the engine into accepting help from the motor. The Lithium Phosphate batteries are of the latest and safest chemistry, offering longer lifetimes, and triple the density of a lead acid battery. The charger allows "filling" the battery from any 120V wall plug.
The motor mounts on the drive shaft behind the transmission. It requires a clear space of a 4" radius around the driveshaft center for 18" back from the transmission. If your vehicle has this space available, we can convert it. The battery boxes mount on either side of the frame, or where-ever. The charger plug can mount on the front or rear fender, as desired. Just plug in at night to recharge the battery, using an extension cord from an outlet in the garage. The designs are hardened against harsh road conditions and cold temperatures.
The hybrid truck uses the electric motor to assist the engine in local traffic where the engine is least efficient. Your mileage [mpg] is improved because the electric motor is far more efficient at low speed and start/stop driving. At higher speeds, the engine takes over.

Warranty is 6 months on parts and labor, plus manufacturer warranties on components of 1-3 years.
