By adding more battery and charger to your Hybrid, it is converted into a Plug-in Hybrid! The Hybrid still operates like it did before, but the extra battery means the electric motor can do more work and offset that much more fuel. A driver's switch enables the added battery system:
Match the battery size to your usual driving for best MPG gains; 70, 80 and even 100mpg is possible. Plug your Hybrid in to any standard wall plug in your garage [or office?] to refill the battery for another day of savings [money, fuel and emissions]. The results are magical!
When the battery is depleted, the vehicle continues to operate, reverting to standard hybrid mode, without you doing anything. Just plug in again at the next opportunity.
Remember, every mile you use electric assist is money and fuel saved.
ConVerdant will add a battery box to the trunk area, where space is available. No/little space is lost.
Warranty: ConVerdant offers a 2 year limited warranty on the installed components and a 1 year limited warranty on installation labor. The same ConVerdant Authorized Service shop that installed the conversion can also provide any needed service. The original hybrid drive and battery are unmodified for clean manufacturer warranty or service work. Only ConVerdant Authorized Service Partners should work on ConVerdant installed components.
Hybrids have proven to be very reliable vehicles, and the electric motor is the most durable part of it. However, should the car Dealer try to disavow their Warranty once the conversion is installed, the law says they can't. They can only do so on a case by case basis, when they can reasonably show that the problem at hand is caused by this conversion. We have their tech bulletins to check this and keep them honest. Fortunately, the existing hybrids are not prone to drive train problems.
